Ženatý se závazky (Married… with Children) je americká televizní situační komedie (sitcom). 261 epizod (zahrnuty jsou úplně všechny odvysílané díly) rozdělených do 11 sérií byly postupně vysílány od 5. dubna 1987 do 9. června 1997 na televizní stanici FOX (americká televizní síť – majitelem je Rupert Murdoch, australský mediální magnát). 17. dubna 1997 bylo rozhodnuto FOXem, že seriál skončí. FOX už nechtěl dál vydávat 1,5 miliónu dolarů za jednu epizodu ve 12 sérii. Repríza seriálu je ale stále vysílána ve více jak 60 zemích světa včetně té naší a stále se těší ohromné oblibě. Pilotní epizoda byla vysílána 5. dubna 1987 v 8 hodin večer a byla ještě tu samou noc 3x reprízována. FOX vznikl jako konkurence proti tehdejším třem klasickým TV sítím NBC, ABC a CBS (to jsou ty originální americké názvy 
. FOX se od těchto sítí chtěl výrazně lišit a právě Ženatý se závazky byl prvních pár let jejich vlajkovou lodí.
Seriál je o bláznivé (a sem tam trochu přihlouplé rodince Bundových. Bydlí v Chicagu Illinois v jejich domečku a navzájem se nemají moc rádi. Celý seriál je parodií na harmonicky žijící rodiny v ostatních sitcomech (Plný dům, Krok za krokem, Cosby show a další) – pracovní název seriálu je totiž – “Not the Cosbys” – Žádní Cosbyové . Hlavním tématem celého sitcomu je sex, závist, “jak přijít co nejrychleji k penězům”, prohry a (ne)úspěchy hlavních hrdinů. Producenti do malých rolí seriálu obsadili plno Playboy Playmates a ostatních krásných žen, aby tam bylo taky něco pěkného . Díky těmto “sličným děvám” seriál nikdy nevyhrál cenu EMMY.
