I was one of those people that USED to feel worse after taking a daytime nap, but when my daughter was up at night, I was literally dead during the day, naps helped tremendously!! Walks are great too because of the fresh air… sometimes this will even tire them out.. . At night, when he wakes DO NOT turn on any lights, or tv or anything. Do not talk to him or interact with him other than picking him up to feed him. Feed him, burp him, change him or whatever you have to do, and try placing him back down. He may cry again, try doing all that again… you are training him that night is for sleeping not playtime.. . My daughter is 8 months now, but OMG she was the same way in the beginning. I swear I looked like zombie lady! She refused the pacifier COMPLETELY!! It was really tough at first. I also had 2 other kids I had to be a mother to. I used what I told you above and it worked for us. I would say she was on a scheduled sleeping after about a month or so, give or take. . . Just keep trying.. he will eventually catch on. Every baby is different and adjusts in their own time. It’s DEFINATELY tough!! Just relax and enjoy your beautiful baby, they grow AMAZINGLY fast!! Try to cherish every moment with him if you can.

My dr said to let her nurse whenever she wanted it with no time limit, so I did, which helps milk supply. As she got older, the stretches between nursings grew, so it does get better! (I also taught her a few sign language signs and she lets me know when she wants it… which I never did with my boys, but omg it's wonderful!!!!) And you will also get to the point where you can just know what he wants and when.
